Kalamazoo United is playing one of their biggest regular season games ever and it just got even bigger. The Titans will be playing their Homecoming game at Waldo Stadium at 7:00. When Mr. Koz was asked about how Hackett was able to get Waldo stadium for the game and he said, “I reached out to Matt Kulick who is the director of facilities at Western to see if it was possible to play a football game on the field.”

When asked why the game would not be played at Soisson he responded, “There was a conflict with the field. The Westen’s club soccer team was using Soisson for their soccer game and we needed a place to play.”

Due to the changes, members of the football team were asked for their thoughts on the game on Friday. Junior Keegan Mccue said, “I'm feeling very confident in the game on Friday. It's going to be very cool playing at Waldo. We are going to play as hard as we can and we believe that if we do that we can get a win.”

Senior Gavin St. Martin said, “I think the team has a lot of confidence coming into this game. It's going to be quite the experience to play at Waldo but we are going to focus on the team ahead of us. We think we are very capable of winning football as long as we play together and as hard as we can.”

Senior Juan Rodriguez stated, “I really hope we come out with a win. It would be pretty cool to win the Hoco game especially because it is at Waldo. Even if we lose, it is still a nice chance to come out and play at Waldo and leave it all out on the field. I believe that we will win because I have been watching films on Allegan and Allegan is sorry.”

Before the game, there will be a tailgate at Hackett starting at 5:00 which will wrap up around 6:15. The food at the tailgate will be Nonla Burger, mac n cheese, chips, pop, and water. All students are welcome to come!
