Despite having lived all over the country, Roxanne has made a full circle back to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she was born. Roxanne Anderson was born in Kalamazoo on May 21, 2007. She lived there until she was 5, then moved to Massachusetts. From there she moved to Rhode Island, then Florida, then back to Rhode Island. Then, at the age of fourteen, Roxanne moved back to Kalamazoo with her family, and began her freshman year at Hackett. All of these places have made Roxanne into who she is today, and she loves aspects of all of them. From the sunshine in Florida to the gorgeous autumns in Rhode Island, Roxanne has experienced more of the country in her childhood than some people do in their entire lives.

Next year, Roxanne will be attending Lyman Briggs Honors College at MSU, in hopes of attending medical school after undergrad and becoming a pediatric surgeon. This has been a goal of hers for quite some time and she is certainly willing to work hard to get there!
Reflecting back on her time at Hackett, Roxanne is grateful for the support she has received from her teachers. She has been a member of fall and winter cheer and softball, where her teammates are grateful to have her positivity. She has also been a member of SLT, National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and Earth Club. She has been a leader in a couple of these groups as well, demonstrating her strong leadership abilities. Hackett will miss Roxanne!
Roxanne is incredibly grateful for her family. She stated, “I couldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for the love and support from my parents.” Roxanne is the oldest of two children, she has a little brother who is a freshman in high school. Two important additions to Roxanne’s family are her dogs, Breezy and Bailey. Roxanne has a big heart, and will make an amazing pediatric surgeon. Good luck, Roxanne!
