Letters To Santa
By: Isabella Hentz
Find your pen and paper, Santa’s coming to town!
Just a few years ago we were writing letters to Santa asking for a Barbie Dream House, a Nerf gun, and a bike. But now that we are in high school, we would like to think we are more sophisticated in what we want for Christmas.
This year, Santa has heard a lot of requests for what’s trending lately: Owala Water Bottles, Lululemon belt bags, Apple Airpod Max headphones, and Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Fragrance Mist. However, Hackett’s students have thought outside of this box this year.
The seniors are not shy with what they want from Santa as they prepare for their last Christmas before college. Noah Emmer asks for a PS5, Tyler Brand wants a Swiss-Army knife, and Gavin St. Martin wants a new car.
Juniors Marek Butkiewicz and Mark Sundberg and senior Juan Rodriguez-Medina have a very simple and specific request…money. Juan says, “Everything is so expensive right now and it’s just nice to have.” Junior Leah Smith is also practical, asking for a heated blanket because, “My window doesn’t shut, so my room is always cold.”
Sophomore Ellie Blondia expresses that she is in dire need of a Ninja-Creami saying, “Then I can make whatever ice cream I want and multiple flavors for the week. And I can make them healthier so my mom can’t say no.”
With the great inspiration Hackett’s students have come up with, are your letters ready for Santa?
